The region's leading cable manufacturer is a strategic sponsor of the event

Dubai, UAE - Ducab, the Middle East’s leading manufacturer of high quality cables and cabling products, is a Strategic Sponsor of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2016.  Ducab will participate at the exhibition and conference, which will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from the 4th to the 6th of October, to showcase its sustainability initiatives and state of art industry-specific cabling.

In alignment to the UAE vision 2021 of ensuring sustainable development while preserving the environment and under the umbrella of the ‘Green Week’, Ducab will demonstrate its implementation and support of green and sustainable development in the manufacturing of specialized cable products and accessories which meet the highest industry standards. Visitors to WETEX 2016 will be able to witness this focus across Ducab’s processes of raw-materials, manufacturing, packaging, product longevity and end-of-life treatment.

Dr. Ahmad Bin Hassan Al Shaikh, Chairman, Ducab, said: “With a growing global focus on developing sustainable energy, WETEX is a great platform that brings together like-minded visionaries and professionals from the water, electricity, technology, and environment sectors. We are proud to partner with this international event as a strategic sponsor and showcase our premium UAE-manufactured products and sustainable practices for the manufacturing sector, and beyond.”

The cable manufacturer’s participation follows the recent announcement of its nuclear power-qualified cable range, NuBICC being selected by the Korean Hydro-Nuclear Power Co. (KHNP) for the Shin Hanul 1 & 2 Nuclear power plant under construction currently.  Other projects in the sector include Masdar’s Shams 1 in Abu Dhabi, DEWA’s 13MW solar plant in Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai (in collaboration with DEWA), and Barakah Nuclear Power plant (BNPP) in Abu Dhabi.

As a member of the Emirates Environmental Group and the Emirates Green Building Group, as well as being a founding member of the Dubai Quality Group, Ducab’s five factories and the upcoming Ducab Aluminium Company follow the highest environment standards. State-of-the-art machinery and regularly-audited precise calibration ensure synchronisation for minimal energy wastage and the lowest material wastage in the industry.
