Angry parents protested outside a private school in India's northern Gurugram city on Saturday (September 9) over the murder of a seven-year-old student.
Praddhuman Thakur from Ryan International School was found in a pool of blood in a toilet with his throat slit on Friday (September 8) morning, minutes after his father had dropped him off.
Police arrested the conductor of a school bus, Ashok, on Friday after questioning several staff members of the school, teachers and students. Police said that Ashok had tried to sexually assault the boy and killed him when the victim tried to raise an alarm.
Protesters raised slogans against the school and demanded strict action against it and the principal.
Following the uproar, the acting principal of the school was suspended and an investigation is underway, said local media reports.
