ABU DHABI, Sept 29 (Reuters) - State-run Saudi Aramco has set its October contract price for propane at $340 a tonne, raising it from $295 a tonne in September, the company said on Thursday.

The price provides a benchmark against which Middle East sales of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to Asia are priced.

Saudi Aramco's contract prices for propane and butane per tonne in U.S. dollars were set as follows:

Product Oct. Sept Change

Propane $340 $295 +$45

Butane $370 $320 +$50
