Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 54.35 points  or 0.53% to close at 10,241.61 points yesterday. On the weekly basis, the index lost 209.86 points or 2.01% last week.

Trading value during last week decreased by 11.02 percent to reach QR970m compared to QR1.09bn a week ago. Market capitalisation fell by 1.65 percent to reach QR552.22bn last week compared to QR561.46bn at the end of previous week.

Trading volume increased by 16.27 percent to reach 45 million shares, against 38.78 million shares, while the number of transactions fell by 4.21 percent, to reach 13,667 transactions as compared to 14,267 transactions. Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 35.94 percent of the total traded value.

Telecoms sector accounted for 19.69 percent. Real Estate sector accounted for 18.02 percent and Industries sector accounted for 12.00 percent.

The volume of shares traded increased to 11.57 million yesterday from 8 million on Wednesday and the value of shares increased to QR274m from QR176.65m on Wednesday.

From the 44 companies listed on QSE, shares of 41 saw trading. From these 13 gained and 27 companies closed lower today, remained one companies unchanged. Indices of two sectors ended in green and remained five sectors ended in red today. QSE Total Return Index dropped 0.53 percent to 17,174.58 points. QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index down 0.76 percent to 4,111.88 points and QSE All Share Index decreased 0.45 percent to 2,916.72 points.
