Egyptian Minister of Communications Yasser El-Kady announced Sunday that his ministry has already entered formal negotiations to provide additional frequencies for mobile operators to use for launching 4G services.

Speaking at the 20th round of Cairo ICT, El-Kady added that new frequencies would be ready to use by the coming round of the exhibit.

El-Kady further lauded the efforts exerted by tech companies working within Egypt’s telecom sector to improve the industry of mobile services expecting Egypt to be one of the first countries to launch the 5G technologies in the Middle East and the World.
