BP To Shut Down Baku-Supsa Pipeline For Maintenance

BP announced on 4 May that it will shut down the 820km Baku-Supsa oil pipeline for maintenance from 15 May to 15 June. The pipeline normally carries 60,000-80,000 b/d of oil from the BP-operated Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (AGC) oil fields complex offshore Azerbaijan. ACG output will not be affected by the closure, since this volume will be diverted through the BP-operated Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline. AGC production is currently estimated at 720,000 b/d.
