Economist Intelligence Unit - Jun 2009

EIU expects Tunisia’s real GDP to
slow to 0.6% (from 1%) in 2009 and to 2.3% (from 2.6%) in 2010 due to the recent poor export and production figures. Real growth in the tourism sector has stagnated and is expected to suffer further as the year progresses and the tourism season begins in earnest. Inflation will be expected to decline from 5% in 2008 to 3.1% in 2009 and 3% 2010.
