Morocco: Country outlook
Economist Intelligence Unit - Jun 2009

EIU expects Morocco’s real GDP to
slow to 0.6% in 2009, picking up to 2.5% in 2010 as global demand for goods and services starts to show signs of recovery. The economy will continue to face risks associated with its dependence on rain-fed agriculture, which typically accounts for some 14% of GDP but employs 42% of the workforce, with the result that changes in agricultural output can have a significant effect on private consumption.
