Economist Intelligence Unit - Oct 2009

EIU expects Algeria’s real GDP at 4.6% in 2010, which was upgraded from 4.5% owing to an improved outlook in Europe. Growth will slow slightly to 4.1% in 2011 as the global economy falters and government stimulus programs are ended in key markets. Inflation is forecasted to fall to 3.7% in 2010 and to 3.4% in 2011 as measures are taken to dampen demand and as the government's infrastructure program slows down.
