Emirates National Oil Company

The state-owned Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) specializes in the exploration, production and distribution of oil; it also operates 170 gas stations across the UAE.

Through its 30 subsidiaries, ENOC manufactures, distributes and transports petrochemicals, lubricants, aviation fuels, chemicals and gas products; it refines crude oil; manufactures and bottles gas; provides aircraft refueling; maritime transportation of oil and gas products, freight-forwarding and cargo handling. In addition, ENOC subsidiaries include IT and real estate companies.

ENOC is undertaking phase 6 of an EPC contract with Dutch partners, Koninklijke Vopak and Independent Petroleum Group (IPG) to expand a shared oil terminal, Vopak Horizon Fujairah. When completed in 2012, the AED404 million (USD110 million) project would increase total production capacity to 1.2 million cubic meters of oil per year.
