 Business Overview
Qatar Airways, the only national carrier in the country, provides scheduled air transportation services for passengers and cargo. The airline was founded by members of the Al Thani ruling family and the government of Qatar.

The airline has positioned itself as a high-end carrier; it is the only Middle Eastern airline to achieve a five-star ranking from Skytrax, an aviation industry monitor.

Qatar Airways is a vertically integrated airline, owning Qatar Duty FreeQatar Duty FreeLoading..., Qatar Aviation ServicesQatar Aviation ServicesLoading... and the Qatar Aircraft Catering Company.
