The Morocco-based Société Nationale d'Investissement (SNI) is an investment holding company with a strategic focus on the following sectors: construction, financial services, telecommunications, agriculture, automotive, metals, basic materials and conglomerates.

SNI, which was established in 1966 as a public company, was privatized in 1994. Groupe ONAGroupe ONALoading..., one of Morocco?s largest conglomerates in terms of revenues and staff, as of 2005, took control of SNI in 1999 to create the new entity, ONA-SNI and enter into or strengthen strategic partnerships. SNI holds the largest stake or 33.54% in Groupe ONAGroupe ONALoading..., as of 2007.

Lafarge Maroc, an SNI subsidiary, is one of Morocco?s largest cement manufacturers according to its total production capacity of 5.4 million tons of cement per year. SNI has a firm foothold in the country?s telecom sector through WanaWanaLoading..., which it co-founded in 1999 with Groupe ONAGroupe ONALoading.... The company?s diverse interests also include Lesieur CristalLesieur CristalLoading..., which specializes in the production of edible oils, soaps and detergents prod. SNI distributes metallurgical products through Longométal AfriqueLongométal AfriqueLoading.... SNI has shares in Renault MarocRenault MarocLoading..., the car distribution and assembly company, which has been operating in Morocco since 1928, with a market share of 23.3% as of 2005.
