  Business Overview
The Abu Dhabi Gas Industries (GASCO) is engaged in the extraction, treatment, fractionation, storage and shipping of natural gas liquids. The gas processing and natural gas liquid (NGL) extraction operations take place at four plants: Asab, Bab, Bu Hasa and Habshan.

Abu Dhabi National Oil CompanyAbu Dhabi National Oil CompanyLoading... (ADNOCADNOCLoading...) owns 68% of GASCO, while a number of foreign companies own the remainder.

To increase the offshore gas production in Abu Dhabi by 700 million cubic feet per day, GASCO is building the Integrated Gas Development (IGD) project, valued at AED18.3 (USD5 billion).The gas produced from the offshore Umm Shaif and Khuff reservoirs, will be used as feed stock to generate power and serve industrial purposes in Abu Dhabi and the northern emirates. The project is expected to be completed in 2010.

Other projects include The Abu Dhabi Gas Distribution Network, to supply gas to a total of 120,000 homes in Abu Dhabi, Mussafah, Al Ain and Ruwais. When completed in 2010, the gas grid will have a pipeline network of 3000 km.
