 Business Overview
Abu Dhabi Gas Industries (GASCO) is engaged in the production, processing and transportation of natural gas; the production of methane, ethane, propane, butane, pentane +, paraffinic naphtha, liquid sulfur and condensates.

GASCO’s industrial complex is composed of four plants with a processing capacity of 5.5 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and 317,000 barrels of processed gas per day, in addition to a pipeline network. Natural gas liquids (NGLs) are extracted and processed at the Habshan-Bab Gas complex, Bu Hasa NGL plant, Asab NGL plant and Asab Gas plant before being transferred to the Ruwais Fractionation plant, where they are processed to produce ethane, propane, butane and pentane+.

The company began implementing new gas processing facilities, in 2010, and revamping existing ones at various plant locations. Among them is the Integrated Gas Development (IGD), valued at AED25.7 billion (USD7 billion), which involves the construction of offsite and utilities, 8 storage tanks, NGL train and a gas processing plant. When completed in 2013, the project would increase offshore gas production in Abu Dhabi by 1 billion cubic feet per day (high pressure gas).
