  Business Overview
The sole manufacturer of plastic goods in Morocco, Société Nationale d'Electrolyse et de Pétrochimie (SNEP) specializes in plastic and petrochemical products such as chlorine, PVC, vinyl, soda and others. The company exports its products to the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Egypt and Tunisia.

Société Nationale d'Electrolyse et de Pétrochimie operates two subsidiaries, Houda Plast and Dimatit, which manufacture and sell PVC products. SNEP started production of electrolysis, petrochemical and plastic products in 1977. The ISO-certified company had a production capacity of 47,000 tons of soda per year (46% of total capacity) and 55,000 tons of PVC per year (54% of total capacity), as of 2007.

SNEP was government-owned since its inception in 1973 and was privatized until the Morocco based YNNA HoldingYNNA HoldingLoading... acquired 90% of its shares in July 1993 and acquired the remainder between 1994 and 2007.

The company will undergo an IPO in October 2007 on the Casablanca Stock ExchangeCasablanca Stock ExchangeLoading... that will offer 35% of its shares for MAD966 million (USD120.7 million) to MAD1.05 million (USD131.2 million).
