The Mall of Arabia is one of four key parts of the City of Arabia, the 20 million square feet (1.9 million square meters) development within Dubailand.

Upon completion of the fourth and final phase, the Mall of Arabia will be the largest mall in the world with a gross leasable area (GLA) of 10 million square feet (929,000 square meters). It will feature themed zones to guide shoppers through a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and entertainment outlets. The mall will have four levels, over 1,200 retail outlets, a theatre, and enough parking for 10,000 cars.

The Mall of Arabia's main attractions include a Pharaonic theme, a stage for theatrical performances, a 15 screen cinema, a bowling alley, a spa, and a five-star hotel. It is expected to attract over 50 million visitors and shoppers in its first year.

Colliers International have been designated as consultants for the mall, where they are arranging the leasing of over five million square feet of retail space. The London based Portland Design are responsible for the layout and design of the mall's interior. Future Foods and Design were designated to design the food court area for the mall.
