Dubailand

Dubailand LLC is a real estate management and development company owned and chaired by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, via TatweerTatweer, a Dubai HoldingDubai Holding company.

Dubailand LLC was established in October 2003 to develop and manage the Dubailand project, a tourism, hospitality, entertainment and retail mega complex estimated at AED404 billion (USD110 billion) and spread out over an area of 279 million sq. m (3 billion sq. ft.).

The project will be built in four phases, the first of which is expected to be completed in 2010. At the completion of the entire project in 2020, Dubailand will consist of 6 themed zones: the Attractions and Experience World, the Sports and Outdoor World, the Eco-Tourism World, the Themed Leisure and Vacation World, the Retail and Entertainment World and Downtown. Dubailand will consist of 55 hotels and 45 mega projects to be developed by UAE and GCC investors. The Falconcity of Wonders LLCFalconcity of Wonders LLC (owned by Al Moosa GroupAl Moosa Group) will develop the Falcon City of WondersFalcon City of Wonders project. A joint venture between Al Zarooni GroupAl Zarooni Group, Bukhatir InvestmentsBukhatir Investments and Falak HoldingFalak Holding will develop the Dubai Sports CityDubai Sports City. Al Sharq InvestmentAl Sharq Investment is the owner and developer of Aqua Dunya. Thani InvestmentsThani Investments is the owner and developer of the Dubai Golf City. ETA Star Property DevelopersETA Star Property Developers is the owner and developer of the Dubai Lifestyle City. TatweerTatweer owns Global Village; the Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari GroupIlyas and Mustafa Galadari Group owns the City of Arabia; the Legends Development CompanyLegends Development Company owns The Legends project. Other projects include the Islamic Culture and Science World, Al Sahara Desert Resort and others.

Dubailand announced in February 2008, that it has formed a strategic alliance with the UK-based HIT Entertainment, a children's entertainment organization, to develop the world's first Little Big Club, a diversified entertainment project for children and their families, in Global Village.

In March 2008, TatweerTatweer announced that it has struck a strategic alliance with one of the world's largest theme park companies, the US-based Six Flags Incorporation to develop Six Flags Dubailand, the first Six Flags project outside of the North America.
