  Business Overview
Durrat Khaleej Al Bahrain Company was established to develop and manage the Durrat Al Bahrain project, a luxury residential, commercial and tourist resort.

Located on the south coast of Bahrain, the 20 million sq. m (215 million sq. ft.) project is the second largest artificial island in the country. Construction on the BHD2.26 billion (USD6 billion) Durrat Al Bahrain began in 2004. When completed in 2014, it will consist of six atolls, five petal islands, a crescent shaped island and a 6,000 sq. m (64,583 sq. ft.) golf course. These Islands include villas, beach facilities, apartments, a hotel, a mosque, restaurants, a shopping mall and retail outlets.

The company established a joint venture with the Kuwaiti-based Commercial Real Estate CompanyCommercial Real Estate CompanyLoading... (Al Tijaria), in June 2008. The new company, Durrat Al Tijaria, will manage and lead the development of the two remaining islands out of the six outer Durrat Al Bahrain islands.
