Ministry of Health - Kuwait

Kuwait’s ministry of health is responsible for public healthcare and the supervision of both public and private hospitals and medical institutions. Under its domain is the licensing of doctors and private clinics, as well as drug certifications and controls. The ministry also provides procurement of medical equipment and pharmaceuticals.

It owns six hospitals. The ministry plans to expand its healthcare facilities by building new hospitals, clinics and laboratories, which will provide an additional 3,500 beds.
