  Business Overview
The Arab League is a loose and voluntary association of 22 Arabic-speaking countries. It was founded in 1945 by just seven Arab states enjoying independence at the time. Today, however, it represents more than 270 million people living in an area of 14 million square kilometres. It has served as a platform for the planning and implementation of many successful economic integration projects among member states.
