Dubai Properties Group (DPG) is a real estate property investment, development and management company involved in the development of shopping malls, hotels and retail facilities as well as employee training and security services.
With 23 projects in its portfolio, as of mid 2010, DPG’s flagship is Culture Village, a 3.72 million sq. m (40 million sq. ft.) mixed-use development, which it began developing in 2007 for a value of AED50 billion (USD13.6 billion). When completed in 2012, Culture Village would consist of residential, commercial and retail zones with hospitality and entertainment sub-districts with traditional wind towers, restaurants and cafés, a maritime museum, along with waterways, bridges and souks to host cultural festivals and exhibition halls.
Business Bay is an AED110 billion (USD30 billion) mixed-use community that DPG began developing in 2008, on a 6 million sq. m (64.5 million sq. ft.) plot. Once completed in 2015, it would include the Executive Towers zone, comprised of 10 residential towers, one commercial tower and a hotel. Another zone, Bay Avenue would feature a retail space, cafés and restaurants, in addition landscaped plazas, children’s play areas and sporting facilities. The Bay Square zone, a mixed-use community would feature a pedestrian-only zone, walkways over canals, a central plaza and a gym.
