Dubai Knowledge Village (DKV) is a specialized free-trade zone for the education industry. DKV is part of the Dubai Technology and Media Free ZoneDubai Technology and Media Free Zone, which also encompasses Dubai Internet CityDubai Internet City and Dubai Media CityDubai Media City. DKV provides an infrastructure and support services for organizations to establish in the zone, with 100% ownership, and offer their services. DKV was set up as part of a plan to develop Dubai into an education destination for both regional and international institutions and learners.

DKV was founded in 2003 by TECOM InvestmentsTECOM Investments, the holding company for mega-projects such as Dubai Internet CityDubai Internet City, Dubai Media CityDubai Media City, and International Media Production ZoneInternational Media Production Zone in addition to others.

DKV has attracted international universities from Australia, India, Pakistan, Iran, Russia, Belgium, UK, Ireland and Canada that offer programs in fields such as computing, technology, business management, life science, fashion, and media. Some examples include American College of Emirates, European University College Brussels, and Institute of Management Technology.

In addition to universities and higher education institutes, DKV partners include human resource development centers, professional training institutes, research and development organizations, innovation centers and e-learning companies. DKV is also equipped with a business center, providing modern facilities for freelancers and start-up entities in the education, training and learning sectors.
