UAE's Etihad Airways To Launch Lagos, Abuja Services Next Year |

DUBAI (Zawya Dow Jones)--Abu Dhabi-based Etihad AirwaysEtihad Airways
said Tuesday it will launch a four times weekly service to Lagos and Abuja in Nigeria next year.
A start date for the new flights hasn't been determined but the service may start in March 2009, EtihadEtihad said in an emailed statement.
EtihadEtihad will use one of its Airbus A330-200 aircraft on the triangular route, between Abu Dhabi, Lagos and Abuja, it said.
EtihadEtihad already flies to Johannesburg, Cairo, Casablanca and Khartoum in Africa.
The Nigeria services are also expected to increase bilateral trade between the U.A.E. and Nigeria, for business travelers and freight forwarders, the airline said.
