Oman, India seek to boost ties in key areas

MUSCAT -- The 6th session of the Oman-India Joint Committee meetings was held at the Commerce and Industry Ministry here yesterday led by Maqbool bin Ali Sultan, Commerce and Industry Minister, and Anand Sharma, India's Commerce and Industry Minister. Maqbool said that the meetings would discuss co-operation in trade, economy, investment, industry, tourism, small and medium enterprises, manufacturing, knowledge-based industries, information technology, training of Omani youth, inter-trade and joint investments.
Al Khonji stressed the deep historical Oman-India relations indicating that India has got commercial potentials and investment companies making it one of the countries that achieves big economic growth. He added that Oman has to benefit from the Indian experience in various economic domains, in addition to signing joint commercial agreements.
