Lenovo's Edgy Thinker Bags $USD 20,000 Business Assistance Package

Edgy Business Thinker contest from Lenovo concludes and announces the 'Edgy Thinker' and 6 other winners
Dubai, UAE - 24 August 2010 - Lenovo Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan (MEEP) has announced today the winners of its "Edgy Business Thinker" contest which ran for over 8 weeks in UAE and KSA, and aimed to unearth sharp thinkers with edgy business ideas. Out of over 100 ideas submitted, the big prize, valued at $USD 20,000, was awarded the creators of Campus Radio ME (www.campusradio.me), the streaming student radio station. A total of 7 prizes were awarded for different categories of the contest.
Campus Radio ME (CRME) is the region's first full time online Student Radio. Conceptualized by two students in the UAE; Muhammed Ali Jamadar and Ritesh Jeswani, it aims to be the region's first student radio platform. CRME's mission is to give a voice to the growing student population of UAE and become a mediator among students and between students and faculties.
"We are very excited to be supporting these young entrepreneurs," said Anjum Qadiri, Marketing Manager, Lenovo MEEP. "We are keen to see their creativity unleash further now that they have added resources and assets to help take their 'Edgy' idea further forwards." The prize comprised five ThinkPad Edge laptops with MS Office 2010 software packs, two mobile phones and a package of startup publicity support.
"A university life is a very unique experience that sets the path ahead for a student's career life," said cofounder of Campus Radio ME, Mohammed Ali. "Campus Radio ME was created to enrich students' experiences through enabling them to voice their opinions and get them heard."

Lenovo also rewarded four lucky winners of MS Office 2010 software packs who were randomly picked out of over 5000 voters. Moreover, approximately 500 people took the "edgy quiz" and one lucky quiz taker; Riah Tolani won a ThinkPad Edge 13" Lenovo notebook. Also, Rohit Arora attained the prize for the best video submission and was granted both a ThinkPad Edge 15" and a MS Office 2010 software pack.
The Lenovo "ThinkPad Edge" series with 13, 14 and 15 inch models is designed specifically for the small to medium sized business (SMB).
