Oman Air adds Dammam to its expanding network

MUSCAT -- Oman AirOman AirLoading... will commence services between Muscat and Dammam from September 1.Peter Hill, CEO, Oman AirOman AirLoading... says: "We are excited to announce this new destination, which further strengthens our Middle East network. Saudi Arabia is a very important market for Oman AirOman AirLoading..., and with the launch of our third service to Saudi Arabia after Riyadh and Jeddah, we are confident of further reinforcing our position within the GCC region.

"This bustling city that epitomises the graceful blend of modernity while keeping the traditions intact is sure to add value to our rapidly expanding network. "The services will be operated by a state-of-the-art two class Boeing 737-700 aircraft." "Apart from boosting the bilateral trade between Saudi Arabia and Oman, they will also open a range of short- and long-haul connection options for air travellers in Saudi Arabia flying via Oman AirOman AirLoading...'s home base in Muscat, to destinations around the world," he said.

Dammam is the largest city in the Eastern Province and third largest in Saudi Arabia after Riyadh and Jeddah. Dammam, and the rest of the Eastern Province, is served by the King Fahd International Airport (KFIA), the largest airport in the world in terms of land area. Commenting further the Oman AirOman AirLoading... CEO said: "Dammam is not only a major oil producing and exporting area, but also a commercial and shipping centre.

"Since Saudi Arabia welcomes millions of professional migrants every year, Dammam is the most preferred destination after Riyadh. "With the introduction of this new destination, Oman AirOman AirLoading... will be providing a vital link for those conducting business in the city." Oman AirOman AirLoading... (WY) will operate daily flights departing Muscat at 1910 and arriving in Dammam at 1955 local time. The flight from Dam-mam will leave at 2045 local time, and arrive in Muscat at 2310.
