Raffles Dubai Appoints New General Manager

DUBAI - Raffles Dubai is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Peter French as General Manager. French will oversee the daily operations and brings with him over 40 years of international luxury hospitality experience to further enhance Raffles Dubai's reputation as one of the leading luxury hotels in the GCC.

A British native, French is a seasoned and accomplished hotelier with in-depth background in Operations, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, Finance and Project Development.  Over the course of his career, French has played an intricate role in luxury hotel operations development, positioning and transition.

French has worked as GM in numerous prestigious hotels including the Sukothai in Bangkok, the Carlyle in New York and Grosvenor House Hotel in London.  Most recently, he led the complete renovation and repositioning of the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, its flagship hotel. He was nominated for "Hotel Manager of the Year" by the American Hotel and Catering Institute and Virtuoso, the Association of American Travel Agents.

Mr. French embraces the new opportunity at Raffles Dubai.  "I feel very honoured to be part of such an iconic, award winning property well known for its heartfelt and gracious service and cultured luxury.  I look forward to continuing the ongoing success of this well-established brand."
