Sixth Boeing Business Jet addition reinforces position as the world's largest independent operator of such aircraft
Jeddah - As part of their fleet upgrade and expansion program, Royal JetRoyal Jet
- the Abu Dhabi-based international luxury flight services company has once again raised the benchmark for luxury air travel following delivery of its sixth Boeing Business Jet (BBJ). The addition of this BBJ, a special high-performance derivative of the successful Boeing 737-700, has reinforced Royal JetRoyal Jet
's position as the world's largest independent operator of such aircraft.
Mr. Monther Al Humaynee, Regional Director of Royal JetRoyal Jet
, explained that there has been a steady growth in demand for large aircraft in both the VIP and the corporate jet sector in recent years. "The BBJ is the largest purpose-built VIP aircraft - nearly double the size of even the largest new long-range corporate jets, and as such is ideal for a VIP or business delegation, as well as for a large or extended family," he said.
The new BBJ - titled A6 DFR - is configured to accommodate up to 18 guests. When entering this aircraft you walk first into a majlis (VIP Lounge) area, which in turn leads through to two stylish lounges, a private office and stateroom, as well as two bathrooms complete with showers.
From ARABASCO's key hubs in Jeddah, Riyadh, Medina and Yanbu, Royal JetRoyal Jet
offers private jet charter, as well as domestic and international travel from Saudi Arabia.Al Humaynee continued "Each of our BBJs is uniquely configured, offering the choice of up to 52 seats, or, as in this case, having fewer seats but with an increase in lounge and bathroom space. It offers a truly private jet experience and is perfect for a small, intimate group of people, affording extreme levels of comfort and a great deal of living or working space, all combined with total intimacy and privacy. The aircraft provides the experience of a presidential suite in some of the world's most luxurious hotels"
Royal JetRoyal Jet
's President and CEO, Shane O'Hare also explained: "Of course, each of our BBJs offers a different onboard experience. Our BBJ fleet could almost be regarded as a chain of small boutique hotels, all of which come together with our world-leading levels of service. This includes the finest cuisine prepared and served by our onboard private chefs and continues to set the global benchmark for in-flight luxury, combining cutting-edge technology with unmatched comfort." Royal JetRoyal Jet
has been recognised over the past three years as the World's Leading Private Jet Charter Operator in the World Travel Awards.
The new aircraft immediately entered service in order to meet the high summer demand. It will give Royal JetRoyal Jet
important flexibility to meet the varied demands of passengers and valuable added capacity during this peak period.
"The addition of yet another BBJ to our fleet gives us further flexibility in meeting the requirements of our guests," O'Hare said, "and is an important stepping stone in the expansion of our fleet, that is in line with our five year plan."
's multi-million dollar refurbished BBJ returned to the fleet earlier this month, while an Embraer Lineage 1000 will arrive later in the year. -Ends-
