Vodafone and Mannai in IP deal

DOHA: Vodafone QatarVodafone Qatar
and Mannai CorporationMannai Corporation
on Wednesday signed a landmark Internet Protocol (IP) services agreement to maximise services to VodafoneVodafone
customers. Under the agreement, Mannai CorporationMannai Corporation
will provide end-to-end IP managed services and support VodafoneVodafone
's IT infrastructure including consultation, IP support, infrastructure management and working with VodafoneVodafone
to provide innovative solutions to further rollout new products and services to its customers.
Mannai CorporationMannai Corporation
will also assist in managing Vodafone QatarVodafone Qatar
's internal corporate network including Business back office and customer care applications as well as maintaining VodafoneVodafone
's Data Centre LAN topology.
Commenting on the agreement, VodafoneVodafone

Phone for QR69
Meanwhile, VodafoneVodafone
has introduced to the market new Vodafone 250 FM (VF 250 FM) the worlds lowest cost colour FM Radio phone which can be purchased for QR69 with a full 24 month replacement warranty.
This follows the announcement last month that VodafoneVodafone
had brought to Qatar the Vodafone 150, the lowest cost mobile phone in the world, retailing for only QR59. "With the launch of the VF 150 and now the VF 250, we are giving many people in Qatar the opportunity to share in the benefits of mobile technology for the first time. We hope this will make a world of difference for thousands of people in Qatar," Said Daniel Horan, Director-Commercial Business Unit.
The VF 250 FM offers excellent voice and SMS services, as well as support for mobile payment services. Some of the other VF 250 features which are not really expected to be in low cost mobile phones include: A coloured screen, FM radio and stereo headset, Mini USB connector, alarm clock, torch, calculator, currency converter, 2 embedded games and memory for up to 100 entries in phonebook plus SMS storage.
