New York Underscores Dubai's Success In Conferences and Exhibitions' Industry

Dubai - United Arab Emirates, May 2nd, 2010: After their successful participation at the fourteenth edition of the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai 2010), the Greater New York Dental Meeting underscores Dubai's leading role in Conferences and Exhibitions Industry, despite financial challenges.

The announcement came in a report by the US delegation who visited Dubai last month to participate in AEEDC Dubai. The Greater New York Dental Meeting is an annual event that is being held for the past 85 years in New York - USA, and they have been a key participant at AEEDC for the past 8 years.

The fourteenth edition of AEEDC Dubai 2010 was inaugurated by H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of Dubai Health AuthorityDubai Health AuthorityLoading... at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre last March. A number of ministers and local and international representatives from 120 countries accompanied H.H Sheikh Hamdan along with leading industry figures including Dr. Roberto Vianna, President of FDI World Dental Federation.

Dr. Robert Edwab, the Executive Director of the Greater New York Dental Meeting was impressed by the support given by the UAE government represented by the Dubai Health AuthorityDubai Health AuthorityLoading... to support medical events in Dubai and AEEDC in particular.

Dr. Edwab said "we were delighted by this participation, especially that H.H Sheikh Hamdan visited the U.S joint Department of Commerce - Greater New York Dental Meeting exhibit booth and personally thanked us for our participation".

More than 49 US manufacturers and distributors in attendance with other U.S companies being represented by local distributors were representing the latest US manufactured medical devises, technologies and equipments.

AEEDC Dubai is the largest event in the MENA Region; and is supported by the World Dental Federation FDI.

Dr. Edwab mentioned in his report that "AEEDC Dubai succeeded in gathering international pavilions from all continents, representing Argentina, Brazil, China, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Iran, Japan, Korea, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and United States of America."

"We are impressed by the annual growth that AEEDC Dubai achieves every year, and are delighted by the number of companies participating in the exhibition in addition to the number of dentists participating in the conference." Said Dr. Edwab

He also said that this tremendous turnout reinforces the role of Dubai as a regional hub for major international companies who are looking forward to promoting their products from Dubai to the Middle East and the world market.

The Greater New York Dental Meeting contributes a tremendous amount of time and financial resources for AEEDC each year. They find it as a golden opportunity to advance the sales opportunities of U.S. manufactured dental products throughout the world at AEEDC Dubai. In addition, the Greater New York Meeting shares a booth space with AEEDC-Dubai in many countries helping to publicize each other's event.

Mr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of AEEDC Dubai and President of Index Holding said that "AEEDC Dubai 2010 surpassed all the records as the number of exhibitors reached more than 800 specialised companies from 65 countries, and more than 20,000 doctors, participants and trade visitors made presence during the events three days."

"This is a proof in itself of the continuous success of AEEDC Dubai in general and also emphasizes Dubai's leading role in the exhibitions and conferences industry, as well as in trading and economy". Continued Al Madani

Al Madani also added "the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai) is a great opportunity for all dentists and decision makers in the private and public sectors, as it cater their needs of all medical equipments and services displayed by major international companies."

Al Madani also said; "Medical conferences and exhibitions reflects good revenue on all sectors in the country, including economy, trade, tourism and other sectors, which motivates the economy and development to move forward, and develop the skills and capabilities in both sectors."

Business deals during AEEDC Dubai 2010 reached more than one billion dollars, and the majority of companies have increased their exhibit space for next year. The fifteenth edition of AEEDC Dubai Conference and Exhibition is to be held from the 1 - 3 February 2011 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

This prestigious event provides the premier platform for the ever growing and robust City of Dubai to showcase the rich and traditional Arabian culture to global audiences and concurrently, reinforce business and education through international events like WFLD Congress and AEEDC.
