Doha, Qatar - 17th March 2010 - Mannai Trading CompanyMannai Trading CompanyLoading..., the sole dealer of iconic automotive brands Cadillac, Hummer, GMC, Opel and SUBARU in Qatar, has officially launched the much anticipated 2010 Cadillac SRX Crossover in Qatar. The announcement was made at a formal launch event in the Cadillac showroom on Monday, 15th March 2010. The new SRX was a huge hit with attendees including VIP guests and media representatives. Executives from GMGMLoading... and Mannai Trading CompanyMannai Trading CompanyLoading... were also present.

"The luxury crossover segment is the fastest growing luxury segment in the Middle East, and we are confident that the SRX will be a leader in this class in Qatar with its advanced technology and features," said Thierry Sabbagh, Regional Brand Manager Cadillac & Hummer at GM Middle EastGM Middle EastLoading... Operations.

In an emerging automotive class that has until now been devoid of much substance, the SRX comes as a refreshing change. With its dramatic design that is unmistakably Cadillac, the SRX brings a whole new level of versatility and efficiency to the crossover segment as well as new highs of luxury and modern technology. To begin with, the SRX represents a departure from the traditional rear-drive design and is based on General MotorsGeneral MotorsLoading...' all new global midsize AWD crossover architecture.

The SRX interior stimulates a heightened sensory experience with a premium look and tailored feel. A soft-backed material covers the upper instrument panel and door trim, and French stitching follows the contours of the finely hand-cut, sewn and wrapped surfaces, welcoming driver and passenger alike.

There's plenty of power for zippy acceleration and long drives thanks to the efficient 3.0 liter Direct Injection V6 engine that puts out 265 hp (net). All that horsepower is routed through an industry leading Electronic Limited Slip Differential System and an advanced All Wheel Drive system to make sure every last bit of it gets transferred to the tires as efficiently as possible.

Cabin technology is where the car stands head and shoulders above the competition. Keyless entry is a standard feature, as is passive push-button start and adaptive remote start for when you want to let the air-conditioner or heater run for a few minutes before you get into the car. Helping the driver with navigation is an 8-inch high resolution popup navigation touch screen, and there's no need to bring CDs or even portable music players because the SRX boasts its own 40 GB hard drive with USB connectivity. Other features include Bluetooth connectivity and a power liftgate capable of remembering the user's preferences.

"It's been a tough year for the global automotive industry and there has been tremendous focus on value for money," points out Mohamed Helmy, General Manager of Mannai Group. "But instead of building a 'me-too' automobile, Cadillac has gone ahead and created a truly revolutionary Crossover to meet the needs of today's buyers at affordable prices."

The car has been aggressively priced, beginning at QR 158,000 for a well-equipped standard model and going up to QR 192,000 for a fully loaded version. Stamped with the iconic Cadillac brand and packed full of modern luxuries and technologies, the 2010 SRX crossover will undoubtedly be on the shopping list of many automobile enthusiasts in the country.
