Toshiba Gulf, PC Dealnet join hands to get bigger share in Qatar market

DOHA: Toshiba GulfToshiba Gulf
in partnership with its local dealer PC Dealnet are poised to get a bigger share in the Qatari market as they highlighted their achievements and goals for 2010 on Wednesday night during its first Channel Event at W Hotel. "We would go for 25 to 30 percent market share this year for the range of ToshibaToshiba
products and services in Qatar," Fady Azar, general manager of PC Dealnet told reporters in an interview at the sidelines of the event. During its almost 12 months of partnership with Toshiba Gulf Computer Systems Division, PC Dealnet had already achieved a remarkable 10 percent of market share in Qatar amid tight competition and at the height of global financial crisis.

regional manager, has seen bright prospects for Qatar having been a resilient economy in the midst of the crisis even posting a positive GDP growth last year.
"Qatar is an important market, a focus market for ToshibaToshiba
that is why we want to have increased presence here," Vargehese said. The Channel Event, attended by over 80 channel industry members and media was the opportune time for both partners to present guests what they had achieved so far and what are their plans for this year especially on pursuing a more aggressive marketing campaign in Qatar.
"It is an honour to host ToshibaToshiba
's first Qatar channel event. We are delighted our channel members have joined us to celebrate our successful past 12 months with PC Dealnet and recognise their effort and dedication in growing the ToshibaToshiba
business in Qatar," Varghese said in his speech capping the dinner programme of the event. Over the coming months, new sets of standard will also be implemented for ToshibaToshiba
after sales service and warranty, included in these programs are immediate replacement, limited repair time, on-site overhauls and many other added value services, bespoke to the local customers.
Forward looking, ToshibaToshiba
and PC Dealnet will be working closely together throughout 2010 to strengthen channel engagement by implementing channel health programs to review sales staff training, rebates and value add with ToshibaToshiba
options portfolio and marketing support.
In the first quarter of 2010, ToshibaToshiba
launched its successful 'Profit for Performance' (P4P) rebate programme to channel partners in Qatar that recognises the commitment of key retailers and dealers, and rewards high performers.
