Hyatt Hotels names Benno Geruschkat Jordan, Egypt Area Director

Benno Geruschkat, General Manager of Grand Hyatt AmmanGrand Hyatt Amman
, has been appointed area director for Jordan and Egypt, effective as of February 1. He will be overseeing the three Hyatt properties in Egypt, namely Grand Hyatt Cairo, Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh and Hyatt Regency Taba Heights, as well as Grand Hyatt AmmanGrand Hyatt Amman in Jordan. In addition to his new role, Geruschkat will continue in his current position as general manager of Grand Hyatt AmmanGrand Hyatt Amman. Since joining Hyatt in 1988 on an apprenticeship at Hyatt Regency Cologne, Geruschkat has had the opportunity to work at various Hyatt properties around the world, including Montreux, Casablanca, Macau, Paris and Mainz, which was his last stop prior his arrival in Jordan in August 2007. "I am thrilled with this new mission, overlooking some wonderful properties in two such fascinating countries in terms of history and culture. I am very proud to take on this new role," he commented.
