Mobily completed the deployment of WiMax in Makkah, Madinah and Yanbou

As part of its WiMax expansion plan, Bayanat Al-Oula, the data arm of Etihad EtisalatEtihad Etisalat
(MobilyMobily
), completed coverage of Makkah, Madinah and Yanbu through, the company announced on Monday.Eyas S. Al Hajery, Senior Vice President Wholesale & Carrier Services said that Bayanat managed to cover the world's largest human gathering area in Makkah. Upwards of 2.7 million people visit the city between Ramadan and Hajj, over and above native residents who subscribe to MobilyMobily
's services, all of whom can now enjoy the latest broadband technologies.
Al Hajery added that WiMax revolutionized modern broadband telecommunications by simplifying internet connectivity for ordinary people, who took the technology's ability to get them connected simply by plugging a modem into a mains lead and doing away with complicated wiring to heart.
Furthermore, users are no longer constrained to certain locations. They can simply pick up the modem-router unit and get connected anywhere.
Eariler this month, MobilyMobily
announced that it had spread its WiMax coverage throughout the cities of Buriadh and Unizah in Al Qassem region, as well as the north-western city of Tabuk, giving residents and visitors in these cities access to high-speed internet connectivity.
