Kawan as the Deputy Chief Executive of the Group. In his new position, the Wholesale Banking, Universal Banking and Group Operations of ABCABCLoading... will report to Dr. Kawan. ABCABCLoading... is hopeful that this refocusing of its business segments and operational platform around its customers will optimise its services towards a more profitable and cost effective delivery.

Dr. Kawan, a Libyan national, is a lawyer by profession with a Ph.D. in Banking Laws from the University of Paris (Sorbonne), France. He has been with the ABC GroupABC GroupLoading... for 19 years. During this period, Dr. Kawan played a pivotal role in consolidating the corporate governance framework for ABCABCLoading..., acting as the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the ABC GroupABC GroupLoading.... Dr. Kawan is also familiar with ABCABCLoading...'s subsidiaries where he has held significant offices on a number of their Boards in Europe and the Arab World. He is well known throughout the ABC GroupABC GroupLoading... and highly respected for his professional judgement and business acumen.
