Oman Journalists Association in pact with Elaj Medical Centre

MUSCAT -- Oman Journalists AssociaOman Journalists Association has signed contract with Elaj Medical Centre, Qurum for providing medical services to members and their families. Under the contract, healthcare services will be offered to the members residing in Oman at a special 30 per cent discount on all services. The contract was signed by the Chairman of Oman Journalists Association, Ali bin Khalfan al Jabri with Shaikh Mohammad Mubarak Bahwan, Vice Chairman of Mubarak Bahwan Group and the Managing Director of Elaj Medical Centre in the presence of Salim al Habsi, Head of Marketing, Oman Journalists Association and Adil Uppel, Marketing Manager of Elaj Medical Centre.
In comments, Al Jabri described the contract as a positive step in providing top grade healthcare coverage to journalists and their families. He thanked the Elaj Medical Centre for extending a generous discount to members and their families. Shaikh Mohammad Bahwan said the offer was a gesture of appreciation for the important role played by journalists in the community as well as to safeguard the well-being of the media community. The planned establishment of a multi speciality hospital in Ghala by the Mubarak Bahwan Group would further support this initiative, he added.
Abdul Majeed al Majali, Managing Director of Mubarak Bahwan Group, said the Group was also supporting primary and higher education through Sur College University and Sur Private School. The Group's support for healthcare services is reflected in its investment in Sur Private Hospital and Dar Al Ayoun Hospital (Muscat) for ophthalmology. Elaj Medical Center, which will be officially opened within two months, is part of a network of 37 medical centres spread all over the world, notably in the Middle East and Europe. The Muscat centre has signed up highly qualified consultants and doctors, said Dr Muhammad al Jumaili, Medical Director of the Elaj Medical Centre.
