Dubai, UAE - 28 October, 2009 — As the highly anticipated Dubai World Game Expo kicks off this week, Logitech is expanding its retail reach across the Middle East with a new regional distribution agreement with UAE-based distributor Pluto Games.
The agreement will see Pluto Games, the leading gaming distributor in the Middle East, make Logitech’s PC and Xbox gaming devices and accessories available to gaming users through an increased range of retail stores throughout the region.
The Middle Eastern PC and console video gaming industry is currently experiencing a surge of phenomenal growth, estimated to be worth $750m in 2008*; reflecting both the young tech-savvy demographic and an increasing penetration of broadband connectivity in the region.
