Islamic stocks gain 2.1 per cent |

Based on the close of trading on October 26, the global Dow Jones Islamic Market Titans 100 Index, gained 2.17 per cent month-to-date, closing at 2025.76, said a Dow Jones release.
The index measures the performance of 100 of the leading Shariah compliant stocks globally.
In comparison, the Dow Jones Global Titans 50 Index, which measures the 50 biggest companies worldwide, posted a gain of 1.96 per cent, closing at 168.03, the release said.
In October, the Dow Jones DFM Titans 10 Index, measuring the 10 largest and most liquid stocks listed on the DFM, closed at 3065.95. It is a gain of 9.57 percent month-to-date, said Dow Jones. The Dow Jones Islamic Market Kuwait Index posted a loss of -3.43 per cent, closing at 1018.34. Its conventional counterpart index, the Dow Jones Kuwait Composite Index, was down, closing at 235.20. It represents a loss of -4.26 per cent.
Measuring the performance of Shariah compliant stocks of five of the GCC states, the Dow Jones Islamic Market GCC Index closed at 1470.32, a loss of -1.02 per cent. The conventional Dow Jones GCC Index was down -1.03 per cent, closing at 1512.78.
The Dow Jones Islamic Market Asia-Pacific Titans 25 Index, which measures the performance of 25 of the leading Shariah compliant stocks in the Asia-Pacific region, decreased -0.42 per cent, closing at 1795.29. The Dow Jones Asian Titans 50 Index, in comparison, posted a gain of 2.15 per cent, closing at 134.57.
