Brother Gulf distributors convene at 'Gitex 2009' sidelines

Company unveils compact business colour printers/MFCs and first-ever trilingual P-Touch label printer in the region


Brother GulfBrother GulfLoading..., a global leader in the development and manufacturing of printing, communication and digital imaging products for homes, SOHOs and enterprises, hosted a distributor meet last night (October 21, 2009) at the Al Massa Ballroom, Monarch Hotel, Dubai, in conjunction with 'GITEX Technology Week 2009'. The event highlighted the launch of the company's brand new range of affordable and high-speed compact business colour printers and Multi-Function Centres (MFCs), and the first-ever trilingual (English, Arabic, Persian) P-Touch label printer in the Middle East.

Present at the meeting were Brother GulfBrother GulfLoading...'s top regional distribution partners, including Jumbo Electronics Co. Ltd. and Gulf Islands General Trading EST from the UAE; Electronic Business Equipment SARL from Lebanon; and General Computers & Electronics Co. from Jordan. In addition, representatives from Video Home & Electronic Centre (Qatar), Bishara Establishment (Oman), Arabian Business Machines Co. (Kuwait), Al Maktaba Co. Ltd.Al Maktaba Co. Ltd.Loading... (KSA) and ALMOAYYED Commercial Services (Bahrain) were also in attendance.

Brother GulfBrother GulfLoading...'s newest product includes two new models from the HL-3000 Series (HL-3040CN and HL-3070CW) and three from the 9000 All-in-One Series (DCP-9010CN, MFC-9120CN and MFC-9320CW). The new models are compact, affordable, and ideal for small businesses and home-based office professionals due to its powerful features such as fast professional colour and monochrome print speeds at 16 pages per minute. Additionally, the new P-Touch Label Printer (P-Touch 2700 AR) can print up to seven lines; features six fonts, 11 type styles, 22 frame styles and 123 symbols; can support nine types of barcodes, and connect to a computer via USB.

Offering up to 600x2400 dpi resolution, the new models under the HL-3000 Series Printer and 9000 All-in-One Series have adjustable, 250-sheet paper capacity; Ethernet and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interfaces and two-piece toner/drum set. As far as individual key features are concerned, the HL-3070CW model features a built-in wireless network interface, USB direct interface and PCL6 and BR-Script3 emulations; while the MFC-9120CN has a Super G3 fax function.

"We have packed these new products with the best features users can find among printing equipment available in the market today, in line with our strategy to offer the most advanced MFCs in time for the market's projected recovery phase in the coming months. In addition, we will also be focusing on our collaboration with our regional distributors on how to expand the reach of Brother products across the market," concluded Tada.
