Investors sought for treated Misk Lake water project |

JEDDAH - Jeddah Mayoralty has announced a public tender for the right to sell treated water produced by the water purification station located at sewage lake number one (Misk Lake) east of Briman District. Tender envelopes will be opened on July 29.
The mayoralty's Director General of Investments Nabil Bin Ahmad Mufti said that the contract is for a duration of two years, noting that the project supervisor must be a Saudi, and that reports on the quantities of processed and distributed water are required.
He added that water tankers used in the business must be in good condition and of a specified color, and that labor working on the project should be under the sponsorship of the investor, who should hire a 24-hour security guard and not use the station's surrounding pavements for the purpose of promotion.
Mufti said the mayoralty's decision to invest in the station's production is in accordance with regulations on treated water that were issued in a ministerial decision.
