Dh19.5m Abu Dhabi Grant for Yemen Hospital |

ABU DHABI - The National Centre for Tumors in Yemen will benefit from the Dh19.5 million grant given to it by the Abu Dhabi Government for the purchase of state-of-the-art X-ray units, diagnostic apparatus and laboratory facilities, construction of in-patient facilities, waiting rooms and transportation amenities.
"The National Centre for Tumors project is one of the leading medical initiatives aimed at enhancing the level of medical services offered for people in Yemen. It puts in place sophisticated equipment that allows practitioners with highly accurate treatment procedures and more precise results," said Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, acting general manager of Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD)Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD)

Over the last several years, ADFDADFD has implemented 22 development projects in Yemen worth Dh1.3 billion, and currently the organisation is financing over 34 development projects in many developing countries. The concessionary loans ADFDADFD provides to finance development projects cover a wide range of sectors such as agriculture, irrigation, fishing, utilities, transportation, industry, medical and social services, hospitality and tourism, communications, as well as technical and academic grants.
