Minister lays cornerstone for 2 service projects in Amara |

Iraqi Minister of Municipalities and Public Works Riad Ghareeb on Thursday laid the foundation stone for two services projects in Amara at a total cost of 214 billion Iraqi dinars, according to the Missan governor's media advisor.
"The first project is the Missan grand water complex whose production capacity is 16,000 cubic meters/hour at a cost of 154 billion Iraqi dinars. It will take 28 months to finish," Muhannad al-Hashimi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
"The second one will be a project to treat heavy water with a capacity of 60,000 cubic meters/hour at a cost of 69 billion Iraqi dinars. This project will take 36 months to finish," he added.
Ghareeb had arrived in Missan on Thursday morning. He met with Governor Mohammed Shayya'a al-Sudani and a number of local council members and service department managers in the province to discuss service projects included into the investment plan.
Missan lies 390 km south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad
