Syrian-Iranian Discussions on joint Industrial Projects

Damascus - Minister of Industry Fuad Issa al-Juni discussed on Wednesday with Iranian Minister of Housing and Urban Development Mohammed Saeedi-Kia the developments of the Iranian industrial projects and the joint projects in Syria ,particularly the project of the Syrian- Iranian Automobile Manufacturing Company SIAMCO and the new costs of producing Cham car.
Al-Juni said that the success which has been achieved by the Syrian-Iranian industrial projects ,particularly in the fields of producing cars and cement ,requires bolstering cooperation in these fields and in other fields .
He underlined the importance of the settlement of cars industry in Syria with the help of Iran and its participation ,calling for developing and preserving this industry ,particularly after producing more than 40 percent of car parts in Syria after opening the galleries of painting and chassis.
Minister Saeedi-Kia called upon SIAMCO Board of Directors to discuss the matter and to find suitable solutions for the problem of the high prices and promoting cars, saying that the Iranian government is ready to help in this regard.
