Lombard Odier committed to developing Emirati private bankers

Despite current challenging economic and financial climate, Swiss private banker Lombard OdierLombard Odier
is demonstrating its commitment to develop promising Emiratis in the field of banking and financial services.For the third consecutive year, Lombard OdierLombard Odier
will offer fully sponsored work placement opportunities to students from the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT)Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT)
; a result of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Swiss private banker and university in 2007 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chancellor of the HCTHCT

This year, applications for the Lombard OdierLombard Odier
internship program jumped by some 50%, indicating an interest to learn the fundamentals of private banking amongst Emirati students. In a joint selection process with the HCTHCT
, Lombard OdierLombard Odier
has identified Saeed Humaid Al Qubaisi and Aylan Al Otaiba for this year's internship program that runs in Geneva from 3rd July to 15th August.

Our customized internship programs allow current generation of bankers to engage with promising talents and ensure that knowledge and insights are passed on. in the grooming of local talents."
During the six-week fully-funded internship at the Firm's Geneva headquarters, the two students will participate in a customized training program alongside students from European institutions. Their structured program will offer them access to all aspects of private banking, including private asset management, investment strategy, research, marketing, in addition to the opportunity to learn French.
