Oman debut of controversial 'free energy' technology next week |
|
MUSCAT -- A controversial Irish alternative energy company which claims to have discovered a source of free energy that defies the basic laws of physics, will be showcasing its technology at a special presentation scheduled at Sultan Qaboos UniversitySultan Qaboos University
next week. Dublin-based Steorn Ltd, a privately held technology development firm, says it will be unveil its ground-breaking technology, branded as 'Orbo', on February 25. The event is part of a series of presentations planned at key universities in the Gulf and the Middle East ahead of the proposed commercial rollout of the technology later this year.Steorn hopes the presentations will inspire the student and engineering faculty towards engaging with this new technology. "Our focus is on getting our Orbo technology into the hands of organizations that will push it into the market," says CEO Sean McCarthy. "We are starting this process in the Middle East, a region with a strong energy heritage and a real commitment to the development of alternative energies for the future." The presentation at the SQUSQU
, as well as those scheduled elsewhere around the Gulf, notably the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain are expected to generate international interest, given the fierce controversy surrounding Steorn and its so-called 'free energy technology'.In 2006, Steorn claimed that it had developed a technology that can produce free, infinite and clean energy. It said the technology, dubbed Orbo, can generate substantial amounts of excess energy from magnetic interactions. Suitably engineered, the technology can be used to "power anything from a phone, to a fridge to a car", the company has insisted. If proven, the technology challenges the first law of thermodynamics and law of conservation of energy, a fundamental precept of physics, which establishes that energy cannot be created or destroyed.
According to Steorn, Orbo provides a new approach to powering existing products and a platform for developers to bring new innovative products to market. "Orbo technology provides engineers and application developers constant power, zero emissions and a fuel-less mechanism for the generation of energy / motive power at the point of use. Orbo technology is of application to a wide range of industries, allowing new flexibility in system design by removing many traditional technology constraints."

Tapping ZPE was first done by Tesla. It has been around for 100 years. Historically if you had a working device you got killed. Things seems to be changing. Here is some additional interesting reading

while we are at it I should probably also mention BlackLightPower.

Tapping ZPE energy is possible. It is only a question of time. The alternative is building your bunker, stocking your food, and buying your guns.

"Black Box" and in your case "Black Pipe" radiation is a popular concept. I was refering to the so called opportunities mentioned in their website.
I am a Physicist by education and practice and reading from their website, i was not convinced at all. [Report Abuse | Email to a Friend | Reply to this Comment]
there is no such thing as free energy?
how about throwing some black pipe on the ground and heating your swimming pool with it? [Report Abuse | Email to a Friend | Reply to this Comment]
I understand your wondering. But Western Universities are also on the list to be visited next. Steorn has already given talks in Dublin's University in the past.
Could it be Steorn -out of fairness- wants to give the oil producing region the chance to get in on this first -to make commercial use of it- since they will be the first countries to lose revenues because of Orbo's negative impact on demand for oil?
