Power grid upgrade project in central Basra

BASRA: A local company on Tuesday completed work on a power grid upgrade project in downtown Basra city at a cost of 966 million Iraqi dinars.
"The project will help improve electricity supplies in Basra'a old neighborhoods," the media director of Basra's reconstruction unit, Ali Hannoun, told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
Work on the project lasted six months, Hannoun added.
1 U.S. dollars= 1,118 Iraqi dinars.
The Shiite city of Basra lies 590 km south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
