"This is being done by organizing and developing the work procedures. The department has approved a set of developmental procedures," he said.

As regards the self verification by the engineering offices of the residential villa plans it was decided that the engineering office should do it so as per a set of clauses explained in the contract form it signs and attaches along with the licensing transaction. As for developing the procedures for approving the main information form with the envelop, in which the plans are submitted for licenses, the consultancy offices should stick the form outside the envelop after filling up the blue columns in it clearly typing the matter. No changes can be made on the approved form and the approved colour should be used according to the type of building.

An electronic copy of the form mentioned in this circular can be downloaded from the Buildings Department website, www.dubaibuildings.ae or from the Information Counter in the Customer Service Centre. More details can be obtained from Counter No. 42 or over phone, 04-2064076.
