Al Rawas Auto inks agreement with Emrald to distribute industrial tyres |

MUSCAT -- Al Rawas Auto LLC, a group company of ASB Group of Companies, Oman, one of the leading business houses with diversified interests in investments, portfolio management, minerals and mining, manufacturing and trading communications and information technology, training and development, has joined hands with Emrald Resilient Tyre Manufacturers Pvt Ltd, the flagship company of the Emrald Group of Companies, India, for the distribution of the Emrald brand of industrial tyres.
The formal launch ceremony of the tyre was presided over by His Highness Sayyid Numair bin Majid Taimur Al Said at Grand Hyatt Muscat yesterday.
ASB Group of Companies is one of the fastest growing business houses in the Sultanate and has earned a name for their professionalism and vision.
Speaking at the launch, Ashraf Abdullah Al Rawas, director of ASB Group of Companies, said: "This strategic partnership reveals the growing synergy between Oman and India in ensuring quality products are made available for the high-potential market of the Sultanate and the Middle East."
Al Rawas Group has already picked up an equity stake in Emrald Tyres and wants to associate with it in its growth plan. Both the groups want to expand significantly in this market of industrial tyres and want to establish the brand as a leader in this fastest growing Middle East market.
This new marketing joint venture to open exclusive marketing offices in Dubai and Saudi Arabia besides Muscat will have a complete network of sales and service for catering to the requirements of this fast-growing market.

Emrald Tyres is the largest manufacturer of the industrial solid tyres in India and manufactures a host of industrial tyre solutions like industrial pneumatics, skid steer tyres, lawn and garden movers, agri-implement tyres press on tyres, industrial rims, Polyurethane wheels.
V. Thirupathi, chairman of Emrald Group, said: "This partnership, inked between both the groups, shall take the quality-conscious industrial tyre products from the stable of Emrald to greater heights and will make the Emrald brand the most popular and sought-after brand in the world."
Emrald exports its products to more than 100 countries around the globe and has a very strong presence in Europe and the US. The company has signed a major agreement with Super Grip Corporation in the US for the supply of tyres to major OEMS in the US, like Johndeere, Volvo, Yale and other leading OEMS in North America The company is also an OEM supplier to leaders like Toyota, Caterpillar and TCM forklift vehicles in South African market.

Krishnaram, CEO and joint MD and the head of international marketing of the Emrald Tyres, said: "Emrald with its high-quality custom built tyre solutions and Al Rawas with its excellent market knowledge and network are sure to make the Emrald brand the most popular one in this fastest-growing industrial tyre market" The company also manufactures for some of the renowned brands in the world and is an OEM supplier to many forklift manufacturers in the world.
The company is also a major supplier of ground support equipment tyres to the US and supplies port trailor tyres to major ports in the world.
The company enjoys a 95 pc OEM share in all the forklift manufacturer's in India and a 50pc market share in the after sales market.
The company has been rated for high level of credit worthiness by CRISIL (India's premier rating agency) in the SME category and is also an ISO 9001-2000 certified company.
The company has its state of the art the plant in Chennai, India and the capacity is considered as one of the largest in the world in terms of industrial tyre manufacturing capabilities.
