Law firm continues growth stint in Qatar |

DOHA: Patton Boggs LLP, Attorneys at Law, has marked its fifth anniversary of setting up operations in Qatar by shifting to new and larger premises for efficient handling of its continued growth in the Middle East.
Located at the Commercialbank Plaza in the Dafna area of Doha, the office will continue to provide clients with counsel in a wide range of practice areas, including business law, construction law, real estate and hospitality law, Islamic and corporate finance, commercial dispute resolution, international trade and transactions, and oil and gas, among others.
A ceremony was held at the law firm's office yesterday to mark the occasion. The US Ambassador to Qatar, Joseph LeBaron, former economy and commerce minister, Sheikh Mohamed Al Thani, and Vice-President of Qatar University, Dr Sheikha bint Jabor Al Thani, aside from the firm's chairman, Thomas Hale Boggs Jr, and veteran US political expert, Benjamin L Ginsberg attended the event.
"We are pleased to be in the new Commercialbank building, on the Corniche, in Doha. This is a superb location for business and the new space allows us to be more responsive and better serve our clients. We now have 12 resident professionals from six different countries, including three Qatari nationals," said Robert A Hager, managing partner of the Doha office.
"Our dynamic and diverse team blends years of local and international experience to offer our clients world class legal services in a manner and with a perspective that is sensitive to local culture and business practices. We are looking forward to continuing our strong growth and building upon our success in Qatar."
Patton Boggs has steadily increased its commitment to the Middle East since 2003 when the firm was invited by the Emir, H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, to open the first US law office licensed to practice law in Qatar.
The Doha office, along with an office in Abu Dhabi, has enabled Patton Boggs to enhance its ability to service clients in the Middle East and North Africa region while building a strong network of relationships at the highest levels of political and economic leadership.
