Iran ranks 1st in region in medical sciences |

Currently Iran ranks first among the regional states in the field of medical sciences, said a member of Majlis Health and Treatment Commission Saturday.
Stating that as per 20-Year Vision Plan, the country should stand first in the region in scientific terms by 2025, Amir Hossein Qazizadeh further noted, "Presently, we have no rival in the fields of producing medicines and rendering medical services."
Referring to the necessity of identifying problems before making decisions, he said that insufficient per capita and existence of parallel institutes in dealing with health affairs such as Welfare Ministry are among the challenges facing the sector.
Commenting on the possibility of impeachment of ministers by the Majlis, the Mashhad MP said that it will create mental tension for the government at the end of its tenure and the problems will remain in place.
