Drydocks World launches Perro Negro 6 |

Drydocks World - Southeast Asia Pte Ltd has launched the second jackup rig, Standard Drilling's Perro Negro 6, which is undergoing construction at its facilities in Batam, Indonesia. The jackup was floated onto the waters off the Drydocks World - Graha yard.
Perro Negro 6 is a new generation MSC CJ46X100D mobile drilling rig capable of drilling up to 30,000 feet in 350 feet of water under a high pressure/high temperature environment.
The rig is equipped with a large variable deck load, bigger deck space with 70 feet (21 metre) and 20 feet (6.1m) X-Y cantilever and installed with automated pipe racking system.
Perro Negro 6 is the second of a series of four identical rigs Drydocks World - Graha is building for Standard Drilling ASA.
Of the four, the first and fourth units were sold to Saipem. Standard will co-own the other two units with Malaysia's UMW Holdings.
